We are seeking a new Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Lead that will play a key role in helping us reach our goal of continuous improvement in the efficacy and efficiency of our QA processes and resulting high product quality. The goal of this role is to build-out and manage the R1 QA function. You will be responsible for helping the define the processes and strategy as it related to our quality assurance efforts, as well as, helping to choose frameworks and tooling used on the quality assurance team. You will work with our engineering and product teams to help automate and scale our testing efforts and mentor team members
Define quality assurance testing processes and strategy
Design and develop test plans, test cases, and test automation framework
Train and mentor new team members or quality assurances practices
Lead/Manage distributed global teams
Work with Product Management and Development to ensure cross functional teams and their work are addressing the acceptance criteria for epics and stories
Ensure development processes and coding standards are well defined and followed
Develop and maintain automated user interface tests
Ensure exceptional quality of our product suite by taking pro-active ownership of validating assigned product features and overall product
Review design of proposed features & implementation of features by developers and create test plans and tests to validate the quality
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum or 6 years of software QA engineering experience
Experienced developer of test harnesses and user interface automated tests
Proven ability to design and develop new feature and regression tests and testbeds
Proven ability to write high coverage manual test trackers and create test plans
Proven ability to train and mentor more junior SDET team members
Problem solver with focus on results and continuous improvement
High attention to detail
Strong communication skills
