  • Schedule: 9 hour day shifts, occasional need for flexibility to cover emergent issues
  • Salary Range: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience
  • Location: Portland, OR, (Marquam Hill)
  • Job Type: Unclassified Administration

Functions/Duties of Position

Supervises staff on all shifts. Responsible for planning and coordinating Respiratory Care staff development and support for assigned population. Assures transfer of evidence-based knowledge into practice.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist with a valid RRT from the NBRC
  • Valid Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner License
  • Bachelor's Degree (or actively pursuing)
  • Experience in complex organization environments
  • Current BLS
  • 2 years management experience
  • 3 years of current clinical experience in Respiratory Care
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork (demonstrated ability to build team and integrate existing team)
  • Program and project leadership experience
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Charge and preceptor or educator experience
  • 3 years of current clinical experience in pediatric and neonatal intensive care
  • NPS, ACCS, or RPFT
  • NRP
