Rosemount™ Measurement & Analytical, a business unit of Emerson Automation Solutions, is currently seeking a Product Certification Engineering Supervisor to work at our facility in Shakopee, MN.
Rosemount™ is signature brand of Emerson, offering a comprehensive line of measurement instrumentation, analyzers and systems which are used in a wide range of applications found in critical processing facilities such as refineries, chemical plants, power plants, pipelines, and more.
The Product Certification Engineering Supervisor will lead a team of certification engineers who participate in the product development process and lead certification projects to meet company objectives for quality, cost, schedule and performance goals.
Supervise and mentor several certification engineers.
Interface with management for project planning, resource allocation, prioritization, and status reporting activities
Interpret safety standards and apply the requirements to products.
Interact with product development teams to ensure that requirements from standards are considered.
Develop certification and test strategies to meet certification requirements.
Oversee the creation of test plans, the execution of tests, and interpretation of the test results.
Perform reviews of technical documents which demonstrate compliance to applicable standards.
Interface directly with third party certification agencies.
Develop tools and processes to drive consistency and efficiency.
Relocation benefits are not available for this position.
Travel requirements: 5-10% travel both domestically and internationally. Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an engineering school. An ABET-accredited engineering degree is preferred
Six (6) years applicable experience
Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience in the design and/or certification of products for use in hazardous locations (FM, CSA, ATEX, IECEx)
Technical expertise in applying regulatory requirements
Strong project management skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proficient computer skills
