The Role:
Oversee critical accounting functions for various companies/venues which includes, but is not limited to the below.

Essential Functions:
Responsible for accurately closing assigned books each month for all accounts in the P&L and Balance Sheet excluding Income Taxes.
Prepare monthly roll forward reports and month end schedules for balance sheet reviews including SOX reporting as mandated by Corporate Accounting.
Financial statement review and analysis of Balance Sheet, P&L (vs. plan) and rolling trends for accuracy of accounts before closing the books.

Review and monitor Oracle event reports for reasonableness.
Accounts payables which includes proper approvals, coding, validation and review for accuracy and correctness.
Prepare and maintain balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
Submit and file rent calculations and lease payments. Stay current with regards to Lease Agreement terms and critical changes.
Prepare and file all applicable sales, use and other tax returns.
Review property tax information being submitted to 3rd party service provider which prepares returns to ensure correct data are included in returns.
Organize and oversee annual fixed asset inventory and where applicable asset inventories.
Maintain barter file/log for all barter deals, preparing both transaction reports for each event and the quarterly barter activity report.
Assist with special projects as assigned.

Process all receipts (e.g., Ticketmaster, box office, etc.) and record corresponding revenues and ensure appropriate deferrals for future shows including pre-Close validations
Make sure that all receivables, receipts, charge backs and payable items are processed and recorded accurately and timely; participate in and monitor collection of receivables.
Ensure that aging or problem AR items are communicated as they avail themselves to VP Finance for proactive resolution management.
Periodically test/inquire on cash procedures, safe, and lock boxes and alert supervisor when venue is out of compliance for immediate rectification.

Analysis and special projects as requested by supervisor or venue General Manager
Responsible for monthly preparation of where applicable Contingent Rent and Partner Share deals reporting internally and or to Landlord.

Fixed Expense budgeting, analysis and support.

Recognize, identify and execute profit enhancement opportunities
Responsible for adherence to Company Policy and Procedures, financial and operational financial controls
Rollout of new financial procedures and systems in respective club

Prepare state, local, landlord and partnership audit schedules (e.g., gross receipts, CM Sharing, sales and use tax, etc.) and liaise with auditors on routine components of audit and coordinate with supervisor on the more complex
Provide timely and accurate responses to Corporate for YE F/S Audit

Manage and supervise staff accountant and train on all new accounting and reporting rules
Responsible to train and develop staff accountant to eventually know essentials of Senior’s responsibilities for succession planning and building a deeper bench.
Responsible to keep current with ROME accounts mappings and settlement application changes and then provide support to GMs, staff accountants and settlers as needed so all teams assimilate.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
3-4 years of experience in closing the books, managing a small team, training in all aspects of accounting

Concert promotions or film/TV production accounting
