Summary: The IS Application Analyst on the Corporate Applications team assumes responsibility and accountability for the leadership, management, planning, coordination, and execution of IS projects and tasks supporting Parkview Health’s business applications. This includes technical support for break/fix issues and system outages, application integration, software maintenance and upgrades, data integrity, and security vulnerability management.
Manages Incident and Service Request tickets submitted by clients to completion in Cherwell, the Service Management Application.
Maintains or exceeds Service Level Agreements (SLA) for incident, service request, and problem resolution.
Accurately completes all required change documentation and notifications per Change Management Policy for migrations. Submits timely for appropriate management, leadership, or Change Board Approval (CAB) review and approval to ensure policy compliance. Preforms all migrations to the approved change playbook and timeline.
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on major system issues. Complete RCA documentation thoroughly and timely for leadership review.
Manages the collecting, analysis, and documentation of business requirements, design and documentation of application interfaces, and testing functions related to the assigned applications to ensure overall application integrity.
Develops, plans, coordinates, communicates, and controls activities to ensure the solution is delivered on time, within budget, using assigned resources according to client specifications.
Supports new project development including problem workflow, throughflow and system analysis, planning, and preparation.
Creates and maintains application technical support and training documentation for assigned applications utilizing O365 tools.
Consistently exercises appropriate judgment and discretion in all job functions, even when clearly-defined processes may not be in place.
Utilizes critical thinking skills to dig deeper into difficult system issues and propose solutions to manager.
Effectively articulates the business' vision and needs to technical stakeholders and encourage subject matter experts (SMEs) to consider new ideas and approaches to make their processes more efficient and effective.
Works to reduce variances in processes and supports standardization.
Conducts regular rounding in client departments to promote interaction and awareness of business processes and challenges in the business area.
Works collaboratively across departments/facilities and various levels of co-workers and leaders to achieve department goals.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external clients.
Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to independently manage workload in a fast-pasted environment with changing priorities.
Actively seeks and engages in education opportunities and industry organizations/user groups to expand application, technical, and industry best practice knowledge and skills.
Works varied and flexible hours, as needed, including nights and weekends. On-call rotation participation required.
Education: Minimum requirement of an Associate’s degree in computer or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: At least 4 years’ experience in a comparable job required.
Experience with business application support related to Human Resources, Finance, Supply Chain, or other non-clinical functions, strongly preferred.
Project Management or Business Analysis experience required.
Windows Server and SQL server experience, including server monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization required.
Knowledge of information technology security (IT security) applications related to security vulnerability, adaptive network and endpoint defense, cloud-based application security, and firewall security preferred.
Experience utilizing Microsoft 0365 applications and tools for shared documentation and collaboration with internal and external teams preferred.
Experience utilizing ITSM tools and ITIL methodology for Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management required.
Effective verbal and written communication with all individuals at all levels within and outside of the organization required.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task under pressure, while maintaining strict attention to details and meeting deadlines required.
Experience providing excellent customer service through strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style required.
Experience functioning effectively and efficiently as part of a team, as well as, independently to provide high quality service to clients required.
