An Account Director is a dynamic liaison between our clients and internal teams at Wallace Church.
In this role, he/she will be expected to perform with professionalism and dedication, and to effectively engage clients and partners at all levels. Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage large, and complex branding initiatives for major clients, both large and small.
  • Lead client presentations with Creative Director and interface with senior executives within

client organizations

  • Collaborate with clients to assess needs, determine project requirements, understand

client’s internal organization and decision making processes

  • Anticipate project needs, potential issues, and additional opportunities outside of scope
  • Scope work, compose well written proposals / estimates, and negotiate the terms of


  • Actively participate in internal strategic and creative reviews to ensure all work is on brief
  • Provide strategic insights and represent client perspective in creative reviews
  • Proactively manage internal team to meet project goals and timing
  • Guide, motivate and inspire co-workers
  • Identify new business opportunities with existing or new clients
  • Provide clients with ongoing insights on industry news and trends
  • Support new business team in a senior capacity, spearheading the RFI / RFP process

as necessary

  • Develop well thought out responses and Wallace Church positioning for RFIs from

new clients with the goal of standing apart from the competition

  • Execute items that relate to departmental needs (prepare agenda for weekly status

meetings, assist with financial projections, internally reinforce processes and
procedures, etc.)

  • Be able to negotiate with third-party partners (e.g. photographers, illustrators, etc.)

to align on project scope / budget, timing as well as client direction, if necessary

  • Contribute to the overall cultural health of the agency


  • 7 + years of experience in the following areas: brand identity and package design, branding, new

business development, account management, marketing services, and public relations with a
minimum of 3 years account management experience in brand and packaging design

  • Must be an excellent communicator
  • Has a strong design sensibility and a diverse variety of experience, including CPG
  • Global experience a plus
  • Demonstrates ability to contribute to the creative and design development process
  • Diverse knowledge of brand strategy and design
  • Excellent presentation skills, knowledge of keynote is a plus
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Outstanding project management skills, including managing and tracking project financials
  • Superior writing and editing ability for proposals and related client correspondence
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, senior-level consulting, communication and relationship

management ability

  • Creative copywriting skills a plus
  • Outstanding commitment to client service and client satisfaction
  • Excellent management skills, including internal team oversight and ongoing communications
  • Accountability for strategic, tactical and creative execution and deliverables, and ensures

all projects are profitable and deadlines are met

  • Ability to effectively manage a team, including cross-functional colleagues and direct reports
