As the Technology Initiatives Manager, this role is accountable for establishing and managing large scale programs, projects and initiatives that are focused on improving the operational health, stability, availability, and resiliency of the Consumer and Small Business Banking Technology for the entire Wells Fargo Enterprise. The person in this role will ensure all technologies within CSBB technology are maintained to Enterprise standards, including those of Enterprise Information Security. The person in this role will work with technology leaders across Wells Fargo and is accountable for the operational improvements of the platform. Additionally the person in this role will work on simplification and modernization strategies as crafter by the CTO of the CSBB Technology, in partnership with the business.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Acts in the highest level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives.
- Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs. Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors.

- Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex designs and solutions.
- Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Leads projects, allocates and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced staff.
- Assures quality and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan.
- Leads most complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts.
- Acts as expert technical resource to staff.
- Provides technical guidance to onshore/offshore team members.
To be successful in this role, the selected candidate will need to partner closely with the various application development and infrastructure groups. There will be frequent interactions with business stakeholders, senior management, project managers, technology managers, technology relationship managers, architecture teams, information security and the infrastructure support organization. A strong partnership with Enterprise IT technology teams will be of critical importance as we work to implement end-to-end monitoring solutions across the enterprise.

12+ years of technology experience
5+ years of strategic planning in a technology environment
3+ years of leadership experience in a technology environment
5 + years of experience in one or a combination of the following: strategic planning, initiative management or project management
Experience managing large or multiple technology development efforts within a major line of business
Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
10 + years of experience developing or supporting IT Service Management solutions
10+ years of leadership experience in a production environment
10+ years of application production support experience
A BS/BA degree or higher
Advanced understanding of IT industry frameworks including ITIL, IT4IT, COBIT
Strong relationship management skills
Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
