Job Summary

As a Ticket Seller for The Flyer – San Francisco, you’ll be the first Crew Member our Guests meet. We’re looking for outgoing, friendly and courteous individuals who love setting goals and reaching them. If this sounds like you, this could be the perfect role you’ve been looking for. As a salesperson your compensation will include hourly pay plus the opportunity to earn bonuses based on meeting sales goals. In this role you will be greeting guests, explaining to them all about the attraction, selling tickets, upselling combo packages, handling money and operating a ticketing and point of sales system.

Working Environment

This is an “on-stage” position with direct Guests and Crew Member contact. The working environment for this position will spend most of their time sitting or standing behind a counter in the ticket booth or ticket counter working on a computerized point of sale system. Operating hours are from 9:00 am to11:00 pm during peak season.

Key Responsibilities

Service Quality

  • To satisfy each Guest by greeting and helping them through the ticket buying process.
  • To liaise with the Sales & Marketing Department and prepare for any group bookings to save time and ease the admission process of the group entering.
  • To help achieve the attraction’s Guest satisfaction goals.
  • To manage emergency situations that may arise to minimize possible damage, loss or injury to any Guests, Crew Members or Company property.
  • To uphold integrity by understanding and adhering to all proper cash handling and point of sale procedures.
  • On occasion, dress in costume and/or uniform to promote the attraction.
  • Keep work area clean and tidy, which may include, but is not limited to, sweeping, dusting, mopping and picking up trash.
  • To listen actively to Guest feedback, requests and concerns and take appropriate action, in an ethical, effective and timely manner to improve their experience.

Crew Member Interaction

  • To display a respectful, friendly, helpful and cheerful attitude with fellow Crew Members.
  • To abide by and enforce posted rules and regulations.

Financial Results

  • Be aware of all Sales Goals and targets and strive to meet them.
  • To maintain building, facilities, equipment and supplies to minimize damage, reduce waste and control costs.
  • To actively seek and implement cost saving programs to provide positive financial results.

Learning & Growth

  • To attend training and development programs to promote personal and career growth.
  • To be fully aware and knowledgeable of all entrance rates, promotions, and general attraction information to promote, suggest and up-sell combo tickets.

Job Requirements

CRITERIA

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Education - High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.

Experience - Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.

Previous sales experience with demonstrated results achieving sales goals is preferred.

Computer Skills - Previous experience with a point of sale ticketing system, or retail point of sale system. // Basic knowledge of Windows or Mac operating system and software programs.

Languages- English / Second language preferred, such as Spanish, German, French or Chinese.

Personal Details Outgoing personality. Well groomed. Not afraid to engage or be interactive in front of crowds.
