The position of Commercial Loan Assistant is to interactively work with Loan Officers, Credit Administration, Attorneys and Bank Customers through the administrative loan production and servicing process. The following represent various responsibilities related to the position.
Provides support to the lending and credit teams through the various stages of the loan cycle
Preparation of Commitment Letters as approved by appropriate Lending Authorities
Review Pre-Closing loan documents
Provide bank attorney with loan settlement costs and review of loan settlement docs
Order Certificate of Good Standings
Determine Pre-Closing Information is satisfied prior to closing
Fund IOLTA Accounts for loan closing
Prepare in-house loan documents in Laser Pro
File UCC on line when applicable
Track and renew UCC filings
Provide document second review function of other CLA loan packages
Monitor and follow up on closed loan packages from attorneys
Program closed loans to Bank’s core system (COCC)
Update Bank closed loan reports: Policy Exceptions, Missing Docs
Scan and Index Commercial Loan Packages (iDentifi)
Program HMDA loan information
Review HMDA Denial input
Forward real estate legal information to Tax Service
Prepare pay off requests
Pull, scan and mail paid Commercial Notes. Prepare discharges, partial releases, UCC termination
Work with Loan Officer and Borrower on Line of Credit and/or Construction Loan Disbursements
Maintain Construction loan worksheets
Monitor expiring insurances and forced placed insurance
Work with loan officer and borrower regarding loan servicing inquiries
Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of loan documentation, processing experience in loan operations, financial and or banking industry.
Must be thoroughly familiar with all commercial real estate loan documentation including mortgage notes, security agreements, recorded documents, UCC filings, title reports, assignment of lease agreements, etc.
Knowledge of Banking Regulations with advanced knowledge of HMDA, CRA, ECOA and Flood Insurance
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Demonstrate excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
Demonstrate ability to work independently and with team members
Attention to detail and ability to self-review own work
Experience with Loan Vantage, Laser Pro and COCC is a plus.
