Collects information to analyze and evaluate. Performs logical and physical system design and reviews and prepares system documents and specifications. Conducts technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required and compatibility with system. Prepares reports, studies and documentation. Delivers presentations and participates in meetings. Works on special problem areas; administers complex areas of the network, security analysis and planning.
The work to be performed will support CSI, continued NIOP development and Topic Teams. They will create specifications that could apply also to one of the below. Will lead the completed development of the Naval Interoperability. Profile related documentation and work within CSI Interoperability Control Working Group team. These positions work within a larger groups, made up of government staff and contractors. It is a collaborative environment where the team supports each other's work.
Education: Position requires a BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university in a related scientific/engineering field. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An AS or AA degree from an accredited college or university in a related scientific/engineering field and an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant technical experience; OR an additional eight (8) years of recent and relevant technical experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree. These four (4) years or eight (8) years of experience, requirements below, therefore, requiring a total of ten (10) years or fourteen (14) years of experience, respectively.
Experience: At least six (6) years of recent and relevant technical experience in a technical analysis position related to at least one of the Desired Skills below. Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance, quality control and independent verification and validation techniques. Experience working independently and as part of a team in researching data, developing analytical techniques and methodologies. Demonstrated knowledge of system acquisition practices required to design, develop, integrate, test and manufacture a major system is required. Performs tasks with little or no guidance.
