The National Account Executive (NAE) for Pro Business will lead the sales of Samsung major home appliances into the home building industry through the development of Big Box Pro business for the Lowes Pro and Best Buy Pro business units. This role will engage with corporate, key field leadership, set-up resources, store level management and field sales personnel.
This person will be available to travel to corporate, field and sales offices to build relationships with the corporate teams along with key regional sales and operations customers throughout the US. Jointly with Pro leadership, this position will develop new business development strategies targeting selected multi-family developers, general contractors, property management companies, single-family builders and remodeling companies.
The position will engage with Pro management to “operationalize” Samsung’s builder business in their information systems. This will include but is not limited to: organizing product training, maintaining/updating model #’s, pricing, quotes, sales programs and facilitating after-sale service if required. This candidate will work with Pro Sales Representatives in the field sales and Pro-Desk level to create solutions to ensure a smooth sales process. The role will respond to bid requests in addition to soliciting sales from 4,200+ Pro locations. This will not be a servicing role but an active selling role executing sales and quotes on a daily basis in accordance with Samsung processes and guidelines.
Additionally, this position will engage with Samsung’s Retail Sales team and the Merchandising departments to drive awareness and alignment to Pro strategies, goals and objectives. This position will support Pro B2B marketing events in the field and be active in supporting these marketing endeavors.
This person will report to the Sales Director for Strategic Accounts. He/she will partner with the Director of Distribution Sales and Regional Sales Directors to build synergy in communications and awareness of the Pro channel limiting internal customer conflicts across distribution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound sales calls
Understand Pro channel customer needs and requirements
Close sales and achieve monthly and quarterly sales market plan
Research opportunities, identify key players and generate interest
Maintain and expand database of prospects
Team with channel partners to build pipeline
Perform effective sales presentations to prospects
Manage and help facilitate multi-family project management
Relationship development with customer corporate and regional executives
Strategic planning and execution management
Creating leadership presence with internal functions at all levels of management and trade customer management
Problem-solving (defining what the problem is to be solved), actions and accountabilities…working through internal organization and trade customer ambiguity and complexity
Trade customer relationship management
Contract negotiation with large/complex companies
Diplomatic and social skills to interact/navigate with trade customer senior and executive leadership
Analytical – collect and condense data into information that can be acted on
Skills and Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor degree preferred but not required with 10+ years of progressive sales leadership career experience working with the home building industry preferably in the home appliance industry
Understanding of large “big box” retailers
Working with large remote sales organizations
New process definition/documentation, business case justification for system development investment.
Collaborating with local, regional and national industry associations, i.e. NAHB, NKBA, ASID
Key account management planning and developing
Merchandising and/or marketing leadership roles
Sales planning, execution management, proven sales experience
Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar platform
Strong listening and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Responsible for product knowledge in order to create quotes and offer alternative products to competitor products
Possess excellent customer sales and service skills
Knowledgeable on Samsung and competitor products
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
Bachelor Degree, MBA or equivalent experience
History of professional skill development and learning
Power Point, Word and Excel related software
The salary range for this role for a candidate based in Colorado is expected to be between $138,500 and $156,500 for a candidate in NYC is expected to be between $173,000 and $195,500 for California the range is expected to be between $180,000 and $203,500, and for Washington the range is expected to be between $159,000 and 180,000, but may be higher or lower in other regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
