Job Title: Cashier / Cross-training
Location: Chevron Truckstop, 7122 Hwy 59 S, Beasley, TX 77417
Employment Type: Full-Time (40-50 hours per week)
Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking reliable and customer-focused team members for our Chevron Truckstop. You will work in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for cross-training in various roles, including cashier, cook, and maintenance. Cross-training comes with additional pay. We also offer plenty of opportunities for employees to receive overtime, and we encourage those needing extra hours to apply. Position Responsibilities:
Cashier:
- Provide excellent customer service
- Handle cash and check transactions over $1,000
- Facilitate food and fuel services
- Perform cleaning and stocking tasks
- TABC Certification and Food Handler Certification (must be completed before training)
Cashier / Cook:
- Cook and prepare deli food, including made-to-order meals
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
- Stock and manage kitchen inventory
- Food Handler Certification (must be completed before training)
Cashier / Maintenance:
- Conduct minor equipment repairs and storefront maintenance
- Perform deep cleaning tasks
- Operate pressure washers and other maintenance equipment
- Maintain and stock inventory shipments
- Ensure cleanliness of shower and restroom facilities
Qualifications:
- Ability to handle large transactions accurately
- Willingness to learn and be cross-trained in multiple roles
Additional Details:
- Language: Spanish as a second language is preferred but not required
- License/Certification: TABC and Food Handler Certifications must be completed before training
- Shift Availability: Flexibility is preferred, with availability for both normal and additional shifts
- Work Location: In person (no remote work available)
- Commute/Relocation: Must be able to commute reliably to Beasley, TX, or have plans to relocate
Compensation & Benefits:
- Overtime pay at 1.5 times the hourly rate
