What you’ll be doing...

In this position, you will be part of a unit providing Network Performance improvement by planning, designing and providing innovative representations of data in a graphical and user-friendly manner, working closely with RF Design, Engineering/Implementation, and all members of the System Performance Team. In addition, you will define requirements for reports, data extracts, etc., and perform data queries using all available tools to support enhanced decision-making capabilities, and improved efficiencies of all teams. You will work collaboratively with tool developers and with all levels of Network teams to assist in analyzing and documenting processes to properly prioritize work and achieve maximum efficiency. Work is performed under the general supervision of direct manager and Principal Engineers and is reviewed through discussions, observation and review of completed work.
Your data analytics, python coding, and knowledge of wireless networks will be a critical component in the team achieving desired results.
Analyzing network capacity and coverage, and looking for ways to make improvements.
Implementing various system performance improvement plans.
Recommending and evaluating the impact of new cells.
Monitoring and troubleshooting system problems.
Specifically maximize the ability to connect to the network and improve the ability to retain a network connection without interruption, in the LTE, VOLTE, EvDO, and CDMA networks.
Analyzing Root Metric results, identify gaps and find solutions to resolve issues working with other groups such as RF planning and Deployment teams.
Performing all RF performance activities required to support the network build program (new cells, digital conversions, CDMA and LTE carrier additions, equipment migrations, etc.)
Identifying causes of RF interference , make recommendations and provide solutions for reducing interference.
Coordinating intersystem optimization and consider all FAA/FCC issues. Coordinate with RF Engineering regarding spectrum exhaust to prevent system blocking.

You have a strong domain experience in performance management tools, call processing, frequency planning, all aspects of wireless networks and you know how to drive efficiency through automation. You enjoy the process of solving complex issues while empowering the team around you to do the same.
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of work experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Willingness to travel.
Willingness to work some nights.
Even better if you have:
A degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
Experience in the cellular industry. Ideally, with network experience.
Experience with RF propagation tools and radio test equipment, like QXDM, DataPro, Spectrum Analyzers, Actix, Windcatcher, Wireshark, Irisview or RF Scanners.
Understanding of intermodulation, distortion, interference detection, and mitigation techniques.
Knowledge of programing languages: Java Script, CPP, Ruby, PHP, and SQL.
Experience with E2E network troubleshooting.
