Job Description: Leasing Manager
This position will require a person capable of leasing residential apartment/loft style
units and helps retain tenants at various residential apartment homes located in
The leasing specialist leases residential properties in our portfolio. Important
tasks include: Walk through inspections, leasing units, tenant communications, vendor
communications,ensuring the make ready of units, maintaining tenant files. Will work directly with
management to meet or exceed goals set forth by management team.
Necessary personal attributes include: excellent communication and organizational skills,
self-motivated, ability to work with technology, attention to detail, ability to assert oneself,
focused on tenant experience, ability to work under pressure, ability to work with
the rest of the team to accomplish goals.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
1 Meet and Greet Prospective tenants-
2 Leasing apartment homes and guide new prospects through process
3 Anticipate and react to tenant needs in an efficient and effective manner
4 Respond to tenant issues in a timely and courteous manner
5 To be come proficient in Yardi
6 Document tenant interactions, issues, solutions
7 Conduct inspections of the properties and tenant spaces
8 Address any issues arising from inspections in a timely manner
9 Assist in collection of rental payments
10 Ensure lease files are properly maintained and kept up to date.
11 Renewals are up to date and request for insurance and current inspection is completed.
12 Inspect ready units, ensure they are move in ready and preform move-in inspection sheet is
completed for move ins
13 Familiarize yourself with all lease provisions relating to landlord and tenant responsibilities.
14 Ensure lease files are properly maintained and kept up to date, both hard copy and e-copy
15 Ensure new tenants receive new tenant letter and provide list of their contacts and insurance
16 Assist in tenant billing and collections
17 Assist the management team to create a Preventative Maintenance Policy
18 Assist the management team to create a Hurricane Policy for each building
19 Assist the management team to create a Emergency Policy for each building
20 Keep management up to date with necessary reporting
21 Conducts resident screening and approves potential resident applications and reviews qualifications
22 All other duties as assigned
