Rush University Medical Center's Department of Emergency Medicine is currently recruiting for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to join their OnDemand/Telemedicine service. The Rush On Demand program will be staffed by providers based out of the Emergency Department fielding any visits that are necessary including E-Visits, Video Visits and Telephone visit requests from the Rush Access Center. Our main goal is to ensure that patients are able to connect with a provider during hours of operation within 20 minutes of initiating a request and receive high quality care that we deliver at Rush. This role is for the night shift from 11 pm to 7 am. However, there may be potential for day shifts in the future depending on departmental needs.
- Applicants with previous acute care experience is highly desired.
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or acute care certified advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush University Medical Center patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the RUMC medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush University Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.
