This position will serve as the Lead Solution Designer for Data Analytics Environments Technology which encompasses Analytic Environments, Data Consumption, and the Business Intelligence Competency Center (BICC). This includes multiple data technologies such as Hadoop, Teradata, Microsoft SQL Server, SAS, AI/ML platforms and others.
It is a net new capability within Wells Fargo and will require significant development in partnership with multiple technology teams, Data Management & Insights (DMI), and line of business analytics groups. This position will work with the Enterprise Data Architect, Information Architect, and other Wells Fargo Technology partners to closely adhere to approved architectural blueprints. The Lead Solutions Designer creates actionable application designs working with the Lead Software Engineer in each Agile SCRUM teams. The Lead Solutions Designer will also design technology solutions and applications for other projects such as sandbox remediation and Analytic Data Consumption.
10+ years of application development and implementation experience
7+ years of experience in application & data architecture and solution design
7+ years of experience leading solution architecture projects
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
7+ years of Java experience
Knowledge and understanding of technology rules engines
Knowledge and understanding of technology architecture: solutions development
Knowledge and understanding of Teradata
Knowledge and understanding of database querying and creating ad hoc reporting results using SQL or similar querying methods
5+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
Knowledge and understanding of DevOps principles
Knowledge and understanding of technology object oriented: design and UML
Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
Ability to present complex material in a digestible, consumable manner to all levels of management
Ability to work with limited supervision
Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
Other Desired Qualifications
3+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions for test automation
