The Challenge

The New Hire Coordinator will work closely with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, candidates and other vendors, responsible for the coordinating efforts to bring identified new hires into the company; Ensure a seamless experience for DSM’s growing pool of talented candidates. Have a basic knowledge of HR processes.

The Position

Coordinate appropriate candidate pre-employment background checks and drug testing with external vendor. Monitor completion of pre-employment screening (PES), review/assess PES results in accordance with DSM Policies and procedures
Ensure a smooth and seamless pre-hire on-boarding process
Effectively communicate On-boarding procedures, detail and status to candidates, talent acquisition, HR Business Partners and hiring managers
Send Welcome Packets to the new hires.
Collect New Hire Documentation and send to appropriate team for processing. Track completion of new hire paper processing ensuring a candidate is ready to start.
Handles vendor billing and expense management
Support the Global Mobility team during international hiring and provide guidance on US hiring procedures
Assist with ad hoc projects when it comes to the development and change management involved in the creation of a strategic on-boarding program
Perform other various responsibilities that relate to On-boarding as assigned
Additional duties may be assigned, as required.

The Ideal

At minimum, Bachelor degree with 1-3 years of experience in New Hire Coordination or related discipline.
Exceptional adherence to detail, efficiency and accuracy. Takes ownership for results and is therefore accountable for one’s own performance.
Strong knowledge of HR policies and processes.
Good reporting analytics skills with sound knowledge of MS-Office
Excellent interpersonal and customer facing skills; Strong team player, able to work effectively with diverse client groups
Evidence of strong administrative and organization skills. Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task effectively while considering future organizational requirements
Ability to work effectively under pressure whilst retaining a strong eye for detail; Assimilate information quickly and accurately.
Keeps track of and measures outcomes against a standard of excellence not imposed by others.
Proactive and self-motivated, customer focused with a ‘can do’ attitude. Acts with speed and is decisively in a crisis or other time-sensitive situation.
Good problem solving/troubleshooting skills. Ability to identify and drive continuous improvements.
