TERM positions do not convey permanent status in the Federal service and will be for a period not to exceed thirteen months, with possible extensions up to a total of four years without further competition.

The primary purpose of the position is to provide administrative support for activities using asset management systems, including Facility Management Software System (FMSS), Facility Condition Assessment Survey (FCAS), and Cost Estimating Software System (CESS). This position will perform other work associated with administrative support as assigned. The incumbent will perform data entry in service to maintaining facility management databases listed above, as well as data retrieval and report preparation as needed or requested. The incumbent will discuss funding and/or recommendations with the facility manager regarding asset management systems. The incumbent will be responsible for updating program costs components, developing and maintaining park-wide work requests report and status updates, and will track and update the deferred maintenance backlog at Ft. Pulaski National Monument.

To qualify for this position at the GS-06 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: experience training or time on the job working with Facility Management Software System or similar system, ability to manipulate data systems to provide reports and comparisons for measuring performance and costs, ability to maintain filing systems, training or experience in cost estimating and finally an ability to communicate. You must provide hours worked per week in your resume. You must include hours per week worked.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
