Our goal is to make psychiatric care an equitable place for all.
**Job Overview**
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who lives in New England to join our growing mostly telehealth group practice. If you're independently prescribing (with no need for a supervising physician or collaborative psychiatrist) and are licensed in Massachusetts, we'd love to hear from you!
As a fully credentialed practice with Aetna, BCBS, Harvard Pilgrim, Optum, and Tufts, we are connected with over 30 universities and numerous healthcare organizations across the state.
This means a wave of new clients is coming this fall, and we're eager to welcome someone who wants to set their own hours, specialize in their areas of interest, and choose the types of patients they want to work with.
This role would be ideal for a clinician working long mandatory hours at a large corporation or hospital, with a group practice who has dropped the ball, or someone who has tried to launch an individual practice without a lot of success with getting patients, doing billing, credentialing, scheduling, etc. and doesn't want to work with a large venture-backed entity without your best interests in mind.
As a small, community-focused telehealth group practice based in Watertown, MA, we offer the freedom to set your own schedule, choose your clientele, and have control of your income, all in a supportive and no-pressure environment.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations of patients
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
- Administer medications and monitor their effectiveness and side effects
- Provide therapeutic interventions and counseling to patients
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality following HIPAA regulations
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
**Requirements**:
- Valid Massachusetts nursing license and PMHNP certification
- Independent prescribing authority (no supervision required) - Graduation date for PMHNP Certification in 2022 or before.
- Familiarity with utilization review processes and psychiatric medical terminology
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (we use SimplePractice) and telehealth services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on timely responses
- A compassionate, empathetic approach to patient care
Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The employee may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic telemedicine healthcare environment, providing essential mental health services to a diverse patient population.
If you are a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner looking to make a difference in the lives of others and control your income, we encourage you to apply via our listing here on Indeed or by sending your resume to [email protected].
We look forward to hearing from you!
