Inventory Control Analyst

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and monitor all key functions related to inventory transactions to ensure that they are accurate and timely from and to all external and/or internal operations
  • Monitor internal and external warehouse movement for accuracy and cost effectiveness as directed by the General Manager or Warehouse Manager
  • Work closely with and provide guidance to the Inventory Specialist team in regards to data collection, data analytics and report development
  • Develop and supply strategic reporting to the Operations management team including quarterly summaries, monthly trends, week over week analysis and daily reporting
  • Develop trend reporting on top offenders in all functions of the warehouse for inventory inaccuracies to help operations leadership in seek to understand conversations
  • Innovate and maintain cycle count programs in a perpetual inventory environment at all site on campus
  • Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and supply possible solutions to increase accuracy and efficiency
  • Develop and drive departmental and organizational goals through data analysis with the ability to speak to multiple levels of the business
  • Take a high level of ownership in regards to site training and team development based around inventory, to help mitigate inventory issues on campus
  • Help develop all leadership on site to ensure they understand inventory movements external into the building and internal to the Lathrop campus operations
  • Additional responsibilities include trend analysis, RCA, Defect analysis, inject identification and corrective actions
  • Daily reporting on variance trends on site including top offenders by username per function, top bins with discrepancies, top pick zones with errors, and any additional root cause investigations
  • Quarterly, Monthly, and weekly summaries of inventory adjustments including true write offs, variance bucket trending and monetary value trends
  • Lead all inventory audits on site with external and internal auditors

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Big Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, Computer Information Systems or Industrial Engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an inventory control role or 7 years of warehousing supervision
  • Advance skills using SQL, Tableau and/or Python
  • Advance skills using excel with knowledge in macros and VBA
