Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our pharmacy operations, providing exceptional patient service, and ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications. Duties:
- Assist pharmacists with the preparation of medications, including IV infusion and inhale medications.
- Accurately fill prescriptions and process medication orders in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of patient medication administration and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Provide patient education and answer questions regarding medications and dosages.
- Administer medications as directed by a licensed healthcare provider, following established protocols for medication administration.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
- Monitor patient medication charts and alert healthcare providers of any discrepancies or concerns.
- Utilize medical terminology and critical care knowledge to effectively communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and other team members.
- Perform tasks related to the handling and storage of medications, including inventory management and restocking.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or on-the-job training is preferred.
- Current certification as a pharmacy technician .
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and pharmacy procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Excellent patient service skills, with a focus on providing compassionate and respectful care.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
