The Office365 Architect will provide analysis, design, develop, build and go-live services in addition to supporting the ongoing operation of Fareportal’s Office365 environment. The preferred candidate should be considered an expert in Microsoft Office365, with a strong working knowledge of the product. The Office365 Architect is responsible for providing technical support for the Office365 infrastructure including assessment and implementation of new capabilities and providing Information Technology with a long-term perspective on the relationship of Office365 technology to the business opportunities facing the company.


Designs, develops and deploys intranet sites built on the Office365 platform.
Manages the site layout structure and content; Collaborates with stakeholders on site creation, integration of applications, new features and next-level site development. Administers and maintains sites and sub-sites
Has knowledge of and deploys custom- developed and third-party Office365 solution packages;
Configures Office365 services and settings, troubleshoots and manages resolution of operational problems;
Subject matter expertise on Office 365, SharePoint and integration of relevant technologies into the Office365 environment with 3rd party applications and services;
Builds understanding of Office365 communications and collaboration technologies within the organization through the creation of new sites, automation technologies and self-service options and leads/directs others in the overall administration of the SharePoint sites;
Shares knowledge and mentors/assists team members and peers who are less experienced or knowledgeable about Office365 technology;
Documents Fareportal’s Office365 configuration and architecture;
Manages SharePoint system security, system patching and upgrades in collaboration with the Information Security team;
Manages site quotas, file size limits and reviews and monitors usage reports;
Manages content databases and creates new databases as required;
Provides project support to business stakeholders and tribe/squad project leaders, as required;
Performs installation, configuration, and maintenance of Office365 software and solutions following established procedures and change control standards;
Maintains up-to-date awareness of industry developments and best practices in Office365.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related area
Office365 certification is a plus
5+ years’ experience
Microsoft Office Suite 2016 and Office365 – Subject Matter Expert on Office 365 architecture and integration;
SharePoint 2010, 2013, 2016 and 365; SharePoint Services/Portal Server;
Basic knowledge and understanding of software development languages and tools to integrate communication and collaboration technologies with other applications and business systems;
Basic knowledge and understanding of one or more infrastructure technologies such as database, network, security, server, storage, and workstations;
Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining Office365 systems;
Solid knowledge and understanding of one or more communication and collaboration technologies including: messaging; web/media server; multimedia customer contact technologies (call centers, web chat, email, etc.); multimedia productivity solutions (video conferencing, web conferencing, virtual meetings, etc.); unified communications and telephony technologies; social networking technologies; mobile messaging technologies and solutions; office productivity tools and solutions; virtualization technologies and tools to integrate these technologies.
