Job Description:

Specific Requirements:

Dematic Corp. has an immediate need for a Finance Intern to work this summer in our Finance department at our Grand Rapids, MI headquarters. The successful student will have a strong interest in Corporate Finance/Accounting and show a good academic record. Applicant must be organized and capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously. Must be at minimum Junior level.

Job Family Responsibilities:

Assists in analyzing financial results to determine accuracy and completeness of information. Assist with fixed asset inventory, compiling detailed, organized spreadsheets to track and verify the existence and location of property, plant, and equipment. Assist in organizing and updating accounting policies and information, including moving to new internal SharePoint site. Assist with cleanup and digitalization of archived accounting documents.

Key Responsibilities:

Performs basic tasks and functions for professional field of work. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from others. Identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex.

Education:

Working towards BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree, where required.

Knowledge and Experience:

Demonstrates a basic knowledge of professional principles and skills. Effectively uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Typically up to 2 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.

Key Working Relationships:

Contacts are primarily with immediate manager and others in the group.
