What you’ll be doing...
Reporting to the Vice President responsible for pricing, promotions, market/competitive intelligence, and product marketing within the Verizon Business Group (VBG), the Chief of Staff will be responsible for driving and project managing strategic initiatives, the governance of budget and headcount, developing internal and external communications and leading key projects.You will have ownership of headcount and budget planning and reporting across the group. You will also be responsible for managing projects in the group, helping manage work flow and real time status, as well as managingthe team’s calendar.
Developing executive presentations for internal and external meetings including Group Reviews, All Hands meetings, speaking engagements, etc.
Managingagendas, communications, and meeting materials for all leadership and SVP/VP staff meetings, site visits, webcasts, andtown hall events.
Planningand managingspeaking engagements for the VP including logistics, agendas and talk points.
Running weekly meetings end-to-end, setting up topics and agendas to ensure strategic focus and clarity of deliverables androles.
Developing executive reporting, including the creation and maintenance of an executive dashboard to reflect project performance and delivery against Performance Agreement objectives.
Preparingand maintaining the manpower plan for the Product Marketing team.
Managingand tracking the organization's headcount and staffing (including contractors) to meet financial targets.
Creatingand managingteam communications, employee engagement, and Pulse Survey action plans.
Identifyingopportunities and developing strategies to drive employee engagement and recognition, including marketing the work of the team and theimpact to the business.
Designingand developing programs that drive operational excellence across marketing, including process improvements, location strategy, and talent transformation and development in conjunction with HR Business Partners.
Ensuringteam compliance with HR policies and training requirements.
Preparingthe overall expense and opex budget for the team along with monthly / quarterly breakdowns as required by Finance.
Managingmonthly budget reporting in support of Finance and internal business units.
Gathering budget needs from teams, and managingannual budget submissions.
Developing mitigation plans to ensure budget targets (including revised targets) are met.

You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degreeor four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have:
A degree, preferably in Business or a related field.
Five or moreyears of experience in creating, coordinating and facilitating communications programs for executive teams.
Lean Six Sigma certification or demonstrated knowledge and application of Lean Six Sigma methodology in the workplace.
Strong project management and analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal, influencing, and organization skills.
Experience in communication and presentation skills at the executive levelincluding proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Google Suite,and social media platforms.
Demonstrated ability to be effective in a high volume, dynamic digital and marketing environment.
Experience driving process improvements across diverse groups.
Experience with forecasting, trending and budget analysis.
Willingness to travel.
