Prima Pharmacy is hiring a Senior Pharmacy Technician who will be responsible for assisting in the pharmacy at our facility and supporting our fertility patients' needs by phone, text, and email. We are a specialty pharmacy that has served our patients for over fifty years and has recently launched a new website and storefront in midtown Manhattan. As the Senior Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for responding for reaching out to patients about their prescriptions, responding to patients' questions and concerns by phone, text, or email, preparing and packaging prescription medications.
You will interact with patients to provide the highest level of customer service and will answer questions and escalate concerns to the pharmacy team as needed. You will also collect patient information accurately and will assist with processing third party billing claims and insurance authorization.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and distribute patient medications
- Reach out to patients about their prescriptions, and respond to patient questions by phone and email
- Collect accurate patient information
- Process third party billing claims and assist with prior authorization completion
- Work directly with patients to obtain medication histories and reconciliation
- Ability to work with high touch specialty patients
Requirements
- Certified Technician License (a plus)
- Must have experience in specialty pharmacy
- At least 5 years of work experience in a Pharmacy
- Fertility experience is a big plus!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
