What is the Enterprise Market Data Service group responsible for?
The Enterprise Market Data Services team supports the strategic initiatives and firm-wide objectives through the management of Franklin Templeton’s vendor partners. The mission of the team is to align the firm’s market data and service requirements with vendor services that advance Franklin Templeton’s performance, operational and risk objectives, while optimizing the total cost of ownership.
What is the Principal Analyst - Market Data Services responsible for?
The Principal Analyst – Market Data Services interacts with stakeholders at all levels to solve for unique and complex requirements. The Principal Analyst - Market Data Services will combine their knowledge of vendor services, problem solving, risk mitigation, relationship building and negotiation skills to align the firm’s requirements with vendors and services that advance Franklin Templeton’s performance, operational and risk objectives.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Principal Analyst - Market Data Services?
Establish strong relationships with Franklin Templeton’s Business Units to develop a vendor and service strategy to meet their business requirements and engage with senior business executives
Analyze data and services across vendors to drive sourcing strategies and operational & cost efficiencies
Provide consultative support to business partners
Lead vendor selection and negotiation process and the ongoing management of vendor partnerships, building consensus and drive value-added solutions
Maintain knowledge of new and existing vendor products, emerging trends, and an understanding how vendor’s products are used across the firm
Develop and execute negotiation strategies with vendors providing intellectual property and market-based services
Manage internal and external vendor strategy meetings and effectively communicate updates
Identify new partnerships based on existing or anticipated needs
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
15+ years’ experience related to Market Data and financial process
Strong contract and commercial negotiation skills
Broad knowledge of Market Data and financial business applications
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
Passion to learn and contribute to a dynamically changing work environment
Results driven with attention to detail and the ability to move quickly while staying organized
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
