The Sr. Finance Analyst leverages a data driven analytical approach to build and optimize pricing and promotional strategies that deliver Net Sales and Profit growth for Kraft Heinz Club Channel customers. Through close partnership with Sales, the Sr. Analyst also drives execution of the recommended strategies. Lastly, the Sr. Analyst also plays a key role in executing financial controls to ensure trade spend is accurately forecasted, consistent with strategy guidelines, and within budget. The Sr. Sales Financial Analyst will provide analytical support in setting annual budgets and tracking channel and account spend rates. This position will be responsible for reviewing promotions in trade promotion management systems and working with Customer Category Managers (CCMs) to effectively manage promotional opportunities and programs.
Serve as a primary liaison between field sales, Business Units, and HQ Revenue Management to ensure effective communication and execution of trade strategies
Drive process for proactive identification of trade over/under spending across Club channel and partner with the CCM to implement solutions prior to trade attestations and MPR reviews
Use judgment to evaluate spending requests (OBRs) and make recommendations to Channels leadership
Partner with CCMs to develop and maintain bottoms up trade planning tools to ensure the trade forecast is accurate and complete
Periodically review pricing discrepancy reporting with CCMs to ensure trade deals reflect customer contracts
Audit data integrity in trade mgmt. system & work with CCMs to ensure trade events are
Support the monthly review of write-off and post-audit actuals, working with Genpact to collect supporting data and identify trends that can be actioned against
Analyze syndicated (IRI, Nielsen, etc.) and internal financial data to measure the performance of trade spending
Develop and maintain a historical promotion ROI database to help guide Sales Managers with recommendations on more efficient spend
Support monthly forecasting and reporting cycle through process automation and developing tools to assist in routine analyses
Collaborate with CCMs on customer, segment, and brand analysis to influence and formulate actionable business decisions
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics
At least 3 years full- work experience with proven track record of delivering results in finance, business analytics, shopper insights or supply chain
Intermediate (at least) Excel skills, solid analytical and modeling skills and able to learn new systems quickly
Comfortable working with large amounts of data and able to identify actionable insights
Disciplined approach to execution, attention to detail, and ability to navigate large, complex data environment
Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners
Strong interpersonal & business partnering skills - establishes rapport, while identifying others needs or positions
Self-directed, independent, result-oriented
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present analyses effectively and in a variety of presentation situations, reporting and summary writing.
Preferred: CPG industry experience
