## Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented DME Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and coding WITH FOCUS ON DME , ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and claims. Candidate will have knowledge in Medicare compliance guidelines related to DME reimbursement and requirements for proper documentation. Candidate will be able to assist in maintaining requirements for all yearly credentialing needs.
## Responsibilities
- Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Utilize medical coding to ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies and procedures
- Resolve billing-related issues with patients, insurance companies, and internal staff
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to billing activities
## Qualifications
- Proficiency in medical billing systems and software
- Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG, HCPCS and medical coding principles
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Experience working in a medical office setting is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance companies
