The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for organizing, running, and completing the program to transform the Customer Master Data processes and technology at Baxter. Deployment starts in North America and will expand to all other regions in phases. Candidates will have demonstrated experience and successful track record leading cross functional teams within a formalized methodology and practical experience in applying Program Management and Master Data concepts.
Lead the organization, execution and implementation of a transformational Customer Master Data Process and Technology implementation. Initial focus will be North America (US/Canada) implementation, one of Baxter largest and more complex markets. The main purpose of the program is to implement process and tools that merge commercial and supply chain data and views of the customer (enabling Baxter customer 360) and supports future customer master data needs by creating a reliable master data hub. The project team will be composed of a program functional lead, subject matter experts (SMEs) from multiple functions (Sales, Customer Service, Customer Master Data, Finance, Technical Service, etc.), Baxter and 3rd Party IT resources, and Global Master Data team members. Core project team will be around 20-25 plus technical and part time SMEs. The Sr. Master Data Program Manager will drive all aspects of the project by facilitating the scope definition, establishing the project workstreams, advising and monitoring quality of work, aligning timeframes for all project phases (design, build, test, training, cutover, hypercare, in agile or waterfall methodology), and establishing the project management mechanisms to run and control the day to day work, including regular updates and escalations to sr. leadership. Create the necessary project artifacts to manage the project. Ensure project team uses them as intended.
Successful experience leading similar programs end to end (Customer Master, Life Sciences, large enterprise).
In-depth functional knowledge and best practices on Customer Master Data Management.
Experience facilitating the definition of Customer hierarchies and segmentation.
Technology solution experience: MDM Riversand (or equivalent MDM), JDEdwards (or similar ERP), SFDC (or similar CRM).
Hands on experience with the work embedded in the expected project workstreams: Process definition, data modelling, data cleansing/harmonization, integration, user interfaces, workflows, change management, testing, and data migration.
Agile and waterfall project methodologies experience.
Commercial and Supply Chain functional experience desired.
Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering or Data related field (or country equivalent)
Business and/or Project Management certifications a plus.
5+ years of program management leadership experience in large ($2M+), complex Master Data Management process and technology implementations, including Customer Master Domain.
10+ years of relevant Master Data Management overall experience.
Strong analytical skills, decision-making capabilities
Good presentation skills
Excellent communication skills to facilitate effective functional and technical meetings, and sr. leadership updates.
Ability to manage geographically dispersed and cross functional teams virtually.
Ability to ‘connect the dots’ among different skill sets and individuals, functional needs, technology capabilities, and project priorities.
Ability to gauge team members effectiveness and skill sets quickly and fairly to make the necessary adjustments to guard project success.
Ability to understand the outcome and progress of each working team to establish the necessary touch points to ensure effective alignment and quick delivery.
Ability to identify important/urgent topics that require extra attention or escalation. Ability to foresee risks and issues before they impact the project timeframe.
Ability to contribute ideas to address business issues
Good at managing others – establishes and communicates expectations, motivates individuals, and provides honest and specific feedback.
Ability to take initiative, guide and influence others toward goal accomplishment.
