Armstrong World Industries, Inc. has a job opportunity for a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler at our Millwood, WV facility. The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will be responsible for effectively plan and schedule maintenance work to maintain assets at full functionality. Additionally, the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will be responsible for to developing detailed and complex PMs and job plans that require advance technical understanding and fundamental process knowledge

Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler:
Improving PM Master Job Plan quality in terms of content and measurable standards that ensure reliability and process capability
Developing detailed Master Job Plans for critical repairs – creates a library of critical job plans to ensure effective execution of tasks and improve planning efficiency
Handling complex work requests that require application of basic engineering fundamentals and use of basic project management skills
Analyzing equipment history and cost information to drive improvements to operating results at lower maintenance costs
Communicating status of work orders, improvement efforts, performance results, and spending levels as appropriate to increase knowledge and awareness in all associates
Managing the storeroom and using the computer system (SAP) to manage and optimize MRO inventory
Using continuous cycle counting and annual inventories to insure proper labeling, inventory levels and ensure working capital requirements are met
Reconciling any discrepancies in records, receipts and freight bills with vendors
Following the defined maintenance business processes and the SAP PM system structure
Keeping records and SAP data accurate and orderly for high quality histories and usefulness in data analysis
Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase maintenance effectiveness and efficiency
Participating in and facilitating process improvement initiatives that support operating results and cost improvement
Meeting commitments for operating results and budgets including maintenance costs, services outside firms, rental and stores working capital

Required Qualifications for the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler:

Computer Science Degree or other Technical Degree
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting
3+ years of demonstrated basic maintenance planning and scheduling
Computer proficiency in SAP PM, Excel, Word, and Lotus Notes
Demonstration of technical application of advanced craft skills and basic engineering fundamentals.
Demonstration of basic project management skills
Basic understanding of predictive maintenance technologies including; vibrations analysis, acoustics, infrared and motor circuit analysis is required.
Effective writing and data organization skills.
Facilitation and meeting management skills
