Global Sourcing’s mission is to create “Seamless Sourcing Products & Solutions to Power Walmart’s Ecosystem”. As a part of the Global Sourcing Organization, the Sourcing Leverage team partners with areas like Merchandising, Private Brands, Direct Imports, Supply Chain, and many others within Walmart, Sam’s, and International to fulfill that mission. The team regularly engages in highly complex business challenges that require creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial ways to solve in order to increase the quality and reduce the price of items that we sell and/or generate additional revenue.
The Project Manager II role will be responsible for accelerating the business through successfully managing multiple projects & initiatives. It will provide the opportunity to partner with multiple layers of the organization and work with both internal business owners and external suppliers. Specific job functions may include innovating processes; developing & communicating project plans; overseeing setup, execution, and successful completion of competitive Sourcing events; as well as participating in innovative internal enhancement projects. The Project Manager II role will be responsible for promoting and supporting company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Communications, Analytics or related field OR 3 years’ experience in project management, business, merchandising, or relevant area.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience with data analytics
- 1-3 years of retail experience
- Project Management certification
