Responsibilities

• Within the Finance & Accounting space – Work to identify and refine business requirements, requirements management, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), testing, training, defining support procedures, leading work streams and supporting implementation/optimization • Work closely with key constituents from different business groups within Finance & Accounting and other stakeholders
• Understand how modifications affect both upstream and downstream work flows
• Provide System of Record expertise utilizing industry experience, business analysis, best practices and a pragmatic mind-set to facilitate most complex requirements
• Optimize Business System solutions accommodating unique industry business and management processes, regulatory requirements and other business requirements
• Create functional requirements as an input to application design & workflow
• Develop and test detailed functional designs for business solution components and prototypes
• Drive test planning, execution, and optimization support
• Conduct business process mapping and requirements gathering sessions to determine configuration requirements
• Prepare Business Requirements and Technical Scoping Documents resulting from the above noted mapping sessions to provide proposed solutions for the requirements
• Make configuration enhancements to Finance & Accounting platforms per business requirements
• Troubleshoot issues that arise during configuration sessions
• Provide on-going post optimization support to enhance user adoption
• Manage and collaborate in the creation of reports and dashboard for stakeholders

Qualifications

• Accepting W2 Candidates only
Desired - Former experience as a Controller responsible for Operational Accounting & Finance activities (including reporting)
• BS in Finance & Accounting or other quantitative field
• 5+ years of financial business process optimization, system configuration or system problem solving experience
• 5+ years successfully driving forecasting/reporting of full P&L at a company with multiple and varied revenue streams
• Excellent understanding of multi-dimensional data models and driver-based financial forecast models
• Previous experience managing transition to new System of Record (Enterprise Resource Planning systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, BaaN, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of Quote to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report processes and finance-related business processes such as VSOE, AP, AR, and complex billing methodologies
• Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
• Business Systems implementation experience with data migration, workflow customization, and overall optimization
• Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies
