We are seeking an expereinced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team of critical care RNs in a 12 bed Intensive Care Unit at Lowell General Hospital, Main Campus. ICU 1 provides care for both medical and surgical critically ill patients. We care for patients with cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, hematologic, gastrointestinal, renal, vascular, and multisystem diagnoses. Our patients may require hemodynamic or respiratory support, close hemodynamic monitoring, or intensive levels of nursing care. This may include patients after having lysis or embolization from our Interventional Radiology Department and thoracic surgical patients.

You will work closely with a team of specially educated, experienced physicians and nurses from Lowell General Hospital. In conjunction with the Tufts Medical Center Intensivist Team, our ICU provides high acuity care in a community setting using state of the art equipment. Populations served include from young adult to geriatric patients from Lowell and surrounding communities.

The ICU staff are offered ongoing bedside and classroom training, teaching, and educational opportunities. Newly hired nurses are currently utilizing AACN’s online training program ECCO as part of their on-boarding and training. Our goal is to deliver high quality patient care to every ICU patient.

Current ICU experience is required
Able to read and interpret Tele strips independently
Must have excellent time management skills
RN candidates must be able to use electronic based charting systems. Cerner experience is preferred.
BSN strongly preferred
Valid BLS and ACLS required, specialized certifications preferred
