Baylor Scott & White Health laboratory is hiring, Medical Technologist.
Our Medical Technologists Senior assists supervisory and quality assurance personnel in organizing and overseeing work performed in their area. The Medical Technologist Senior Provides advice and guidance related to technical aspects of their area, including evaluation of new or revised procedures and instruments. Also performs administrative duties such as ordering supplies and workload monitoring. The Medical Technologist Senior also functions as a Medical Technologist with the additional duties below:
Oversees technologists and reviews work area electronic reports
Assists with the development, evaluation, and implementation of new and revised procedures and instruments
Performs quality review of quality control and error report.
Orders supplies, monitors test volumes, and creates work schedules
Conducts orientation for new employees
Trains new employees, pathology residents, pathology assistants, and MT, MLT, HT, or HTL students
The ideal Senior Medical Technologist applicant will have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, detailed oriented and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Bachelor's Degree in a Clinical lab Science; Chemical, Physical or Biological
Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology
Certified Medical Technologist; certification must be issued by either the American Society of Clinical Pathology OR American Medical Technologist
Certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist; must be issued by either the National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel Organization OR American Association of Bio Analysts
Internship in an approved Medical technology training program or 2 Years' Experience Preferred
