Abbott Northwestern - WestHealth, located in Plymouth, Minn., provides outpatient health care services, including emergency and urgent care, same-day surgery, imaging, breast center, laboratory, pharmacy, and more than 50 family and specialty physician clinics on one campus.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
Assessments- Collects, prioritizes, and synthesizes comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situations
Diagnosis-Analyzes assessment data to determine nursing diagnosis.
Outcomes Identifications- Identifies expected outcomes individualized to the patient.
Planning- Develops a plan that prescribes intervention to attain expected out comes.
Implementation- Implements the identified Care Plan
Evaluation- Evaluates the patient's progress towards attainment of the outcome
Quality of Practice Evaluation- Systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice
Education- Attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice
Professional Practice Evaluation- Evaluates one's own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and regulatory guidelines.
Collegiality- Contributes to the professional development of peers, colleagues and others.
Ethics- Acts in an ethical Manner
Research- Integrates research findings in practice.
Resource Utilization- Incorporates factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost and impact on practice in planning and delivering patient care.
Leadership- provides leadership in the professional practice and the profession.
Triage- assist in patient flow throughout department
Stocking, cleaning and general maintenance of department.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing:
New graduate hires must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing which is inclusive of a clinical rotation in an acute care facility (American Association of Colleges of Nursing or National League for Nursing).

Qualifications:
Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire
One Year of ED, ICU or tele experience preferred
ACLS
PALS
TNCC- within 6 months of hire

Qualification/Skills

One year of ED, ICU or tele experience preferred
ACLS
BLS
PALS
TNCC-within 6 months of hire

Work Schedule

.7FTE 1700-0130, 8 hour shifts, every other weekend. Block schedule. On call requirement- one 12 hour shift in a four week block. Holiday requirement per MNA contract.
