Business Unit Summary:
Join the Cloud Platform Business Unit (CPBU) at VMware to help craft the future of IT. Product Marketing plays a critical role in successfully driving products into the marketplace by understanding the current market environment and developing a strategy to drive customer awareness of the benefits of adopting VMware products and solutions. Our team is looking for an PMM to focus on marketing aspects of VMware Cloud on AWS service.

VMware product marketing managers in the CPBU lead cross-functional teams, setting the overall vision for product go-to-market strategy, monitoring key performance indicators, understanding the dynamics of both direct and channel sales, and influencing many teams towards common goals. They are also responsible for driving the marketing strategy, positioning, messaging, packaging, field enablement and evangelism for their solutions. As a product marketing manager you will also work closely with the core product marketing, technical marketing, and product management teams to also understand the optimal methods and tactics to educate the field.

Responsibilities:
You will develop agile framework for delivering enablement programs for Software as a Service (SaaS)
Develop and execute plans to scale sales and partner enablement programs
Design and deliver sales plays to facilitate guided selling for targeted use cases
Deliver key storylines, differentiators, and value propositions to the field and key partners
Analyze the sales cycle and formulate ideas and approaches to optimize the selling process
Create initiatives to motivate selling of VMware Cloud on AWS by the field and partners
Work with a cross-functional team (e.g. sales, product management, technical marketing, pricing) to craft training materials
Create sales tools and collateral (presentations, battlecards, playbooks, tools) as required by the field
Develop and deliver sales presentations, videos, podcasts, and self-paced training
You will identify, develop, and deliver successful sales wins as training material for sales and partners

Required Skills:
BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent
Ability to understand and synthesize technical information into business oriented narrative
Approx. 5+ years of work experience in product management, product marketing, or equivalent experience in the enterprise software technology industry
Experience enabling or engaging with enterprise-class sales teams and channels
Proven analytical skills and strategic thinking. Demonstrated ability to develop creative / non-traditional solutions
Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to translate technology features into business benefits. Previous experience interacting with and presenting to C-level executives
Strong leader, self-starter and proven teammate in a high paced and achievement-oriented environment

Preferred Skills:
Background and familiarity in delivering enterprise software as a service (SaaS)
