We are looking for a hard-working individual with extensive apartment/building maintenance experience that is willing to travel across the Midwest and South regions of the country to perform various maintenance duties at AFI-managed assets. An extensive travel requirement as frequently as 100% of the time will be expected for this role. This individual will be responsible for assisting with unit turns, completing emergency maintenance items, troubleshooting recurring issues, coaching/leading onsite staff, and any other items that may arise. A professional resume with extensive work history must be included to be considered.
This position comes with base salary between $42,000-$60,000/year. Chosen applicant will be required to travel to AFI-managed properties as many as five days per week and will receive a travel stipend with onsite lodging at the property.
The responsibilities that are listed below are not all inclusive; however, they are indicative of the type of responsibilities normally performed by a member of the Maintenance Team:
JOB DUTIES
- Painting/drywall repair
- Plumbing and drain issues
- Light electrical work
- Light carpentry/flooring repairs
- HVAC troubleshooting, repair, and installation
- Able to fix standard apartment appliances: Fridge, Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher, etc.
- Prompt resolution of other resident work orders
COMPENSATION
- Base salary of $42,000-$60,000/year
- Extensive Project Completion-Based Bonus Opportunities (~10,000/year +/-)
- Full Company-Provided Health Insurance (~$5,000/year +/-)

- Above figure does not include age-based benefits such as Critical Illness or Long-Term Disability coverage

QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive and collaborative attitude
- Must pass background check and drug test
- HVAC Certification (Preferred but not Required)
- Valid driver's license with proof of insurance
- Must maintain reliable transportation
- Flexible availability needed
- Willing to travel as many as five days per week on a consistent basis
- Must be able to provide own tools
