The IT Data Specialist position is a great opportunity for someone eager to get their start in the IT field!
What You’ll Get to Do
In this role, you will support the Federal Government on large and complex technical litigation support matters. This position introduces candidates to eDiscovery best practices that focus on verifying client requests, quality checking database loads and deliverables while using applications like Relativity Processing, NUIX and copying and encryption software. On the job training will be provided, this position is ideal for up-and-coming IT professionals looking to develop and improve their technical skills. You will be exposed to data in various forms and learn to manipulate large data sets as they progress through complex workflows. Opportunities to learn and develop scripting capabilities (PERL, Python, etc.) will be provided.
More About the Role
In this role, you will work under the supervision of a Senior Data Specialist that will support your growth and development. You will gain hands on experience in areas such as:

Conversion services, quality control, and database indexing.

Creating and modifying files for upload into COTS products and performs individual file conversion in support of electronic file processing.

Ensure the accuracy of data loading, manipulation, and conversion by performing and documenting quality and accuracy checks.

Perform basic tasks related to exporting data from contractor and DOJ databases.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications

Requires some experience with the applications being supported.

Knowledge of file manipulation applications and experience with LAW, IPRO, ICONECT, CONCORDANCE, and Relativity, is extremely helpful.

Knowledge of Government’s IT environment, including office automation networks, PC and server based applications very helpful.

Undergraduate degree preferred; preferably in the computer science or information management/technology fields.

Technical certification valued.

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Coursework in technical disciplines (programming/scripting, systems administration, and database management).

Ability to perform quality control analysis and report any issues with the data.

Customer-focused, congenial, professional attitude for working on site with government clients.

eDiscovery experience and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, similar to the duties and responsibilities described.
