Role and Responsibilities

Position Description:
Responsible for strategy and execution of partnerships for Samsung’s Networks business in North America, as well as coordination of our activities in industry advocacy groups. This position is based in Plano, TX. This role will:

Analyze the Samsung Networks portfolio and roadmap to identify product and service gaps
Identify best-in-class companies with complementary portfolios and negotiate win-win partnerships
Work closely with partners to highlight market differentiation and joint value propositions
Work with internal stakeholders to establish Samsung engagement strategy at key industry forums and derive positive outcomes
As a challenger in the mobile infrastructure industry, strategic partnerships will be an important element of Samsung’s long-term business success, and many of those alliances will be initiated with companies in the North American market. A successful leader in this role will execute the right partnerships and bring the right strategy to industry groups in order to exceed the expectations of our carrier customers and bring meaningful differentiation to the market.

Skills and Qualifications

Deep knowledge of trends in mobile network architectures and US operator strategies
Ability to identify product portfolio gaps and research major players in each domain
Ability to build business cases to quantify strategic rationale for partnerships
Pragmatic approach to defining “win/win” relationships with other companies
Sufficient technical understanding to review industry forum documents and summarize for internal stakeholders
Ability to align Samsung positions across major industry forums to increase overall effectiveness
High comfort level reviewing contracts and working with Legal to negotiate acceptable terms
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders across all levels

Subject Matter Expert in driving the technical solutions to customer through complex organizational dynamics
Presentations Skills

Leveraging your ability to communicate effectively with all levels of organization as well as HQ partners on initiatives
Excellence Dealing with Ambiguity

Bringing your experience in problem solving and ability to navigate complex organizations with pivotal shifts

Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering; Master’s is a plus
12+ years of telecom industry experience, with specific background in managing large, complex partnerships and alliances
5+ years of experience and demonstrated success in negotiating joint business plans, MoUs, and other contracts in the mobile industry
Experience developing strategies for and participating in regional mobile industry forums such as CBRS Alliance and 5G Americas
