Job Summary:
The Marketing Communications Manager will support and execute the organization's PR/Media and content strategies building awareness of ACE products and services, build and activate the ACE community and drive advocacy campaigns targeted at ACE Pros, health enthusiasts, media and other relevant audiences. The position will manage the Social Media/Content functions and related staff and consultants. It will provide strategic marketing support to the Advocacy, Corporate Engagement, Research and Science teams as a focus.

Required Skills

Required Qualifications:
4 – 6 years of experience as a marketing manager with a media, content and social media focus, must have in-house PR experience; agency experience OK
Should have previous experience managing direct reports
Bachelor’s degree with focus on marketing, public relations or communications
Strong background in marketing planning & execution, media relations, public relations writing and project management
Experience developing and executing inbound marketing campaigns with specific and measurable outcomes, as well as building a reporting structure to communication ongoing progress towards outcomes
Outstanding communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills, able to develop compelling written materials
Proven experience in utilizing and leveraging new and emerging media. Specifically, strength and experience in community activation and management
Relevant media contacts in fitness/health, advocacy/legislation publications or closely related industries is a plus
Experience working in public policy a plus

Responsibilities:
Drive the strategy, creation and execution of brand and product line campaigns ranging for both inbound and outbound marketing efforts including content, social media, email marketing, promotions and public relations to support the Advocacy, Corporate Engagement, Research and Science teams, as well as retention campaigns
Develop and manage editorial content calendar across departments, along with Social Media and Content Manager, to activate the ACE community to drive referrals, retention and advocacy
Lead the day-to-day relationship with and effectively utilize the ACE external PR agency. Proactively develop and present strategic pitch ideas.
Manage PR agency to coordinate media interviews and speaking opportunities; work closely with marketing to develop speaking points and reference materials when appropriate for internal and external spokespeople
Write, edit and gain internal approval of press releases and other written materials with the assistance of the external media agency
Proactively incorporate metrics and measurement within campaigns; providing detailed reporting and ROI-lead tactical enhancements with recommendations for strategic improvement for social media, content strategy, community activation and media placements
Develop efficient and effective processes for blogger content contribution
Build and maintain relationships with external partners including spokespersons, ambassadors, consultants and strategic alliances
Lead production of e-newsletter and print publications
Oversee coverage tracking/reporting and assist in the compilation of annual and program-specific reports
Collaborate with other Departments at ACE including Advocacy, Corporate Engagement, Research & Science to optimize and expand current marketing efforts and identify new opportunities that support and drive organization goals
Maintain a commitment to and align with ACE mission, vision, values and programs, to successfully lead teams to represent ACE
