CloudHealth, powered by VMware, is looking for a dynamic Senior Sales Director to pioneer and manage our North America Sales strategy and team. This position is critical in driving our domestic expansion and we need a high-energy, creative sales leader who is eager to learn, help build and accelerate our company's growth.
The successful candidate will be able to balance sales management and sales strategy as they accurately forecast against (and achieve) monthly and quarterly goals, and drive team success. This person will be focused on closing new business, establishing a productive and collaborative work environment, ensuring each member is exceeding their goals and building/executing plans that address gaps in the sales process.
Responsible for monitoring the performance of the sales team by establishing a system of reports and communications involving sales reports, cyclical sales meetings, sales newsletters, etc.
Monitor and evaluate sales team progress against expectations, align and change behavior with performance expectations
Creates and defines territories and account breakdown for entire sales force.
Manage a team’s quota attainment, provide guidance and leadership to ensure success, and close high-profile business directly (as needed).
Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue growth with existing International customers, Partners and MSPs
Partner with Business Operations to take an analytical look at the business and sales funnel, internalize key performance metrics, and put plans for improvement into action.
Identify and make improvements in process, efficiency, enablement, and productivity.
Partner with Sales Leadership and Product Management to share feedback, influence and guide the life cycle of products and features, from envisioning through general availability.
Provide support for and collaborate closely with Head of Marketing
Work closely with President and Director of Marketing to identify and establish strategic marketing initiatives based on extensive market research and analysis
10+ years’ leading a successful multi-level team in a fast-paced environment
Experience as the leader of Domestic Sales for a fast-growing Enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) business or related technology. (Cloud Industry and IT Systems Management knowledge is strongly preferred.)
Proven track record of successfully building, training, motivating and growing domestic sales teams to reach and exceed sales goals.
Strong channel experience, including the recruitment and enablement of Channel Partners and Managed Service Providers.
A metrics-driven approach as a highly analytical leader with a strong sense of urgency.
Exceptionally strong communication, relationship development, and leadership skills.
Strong prioritization skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, and meet deadlines in a time sensitive environment.
Professional business acumen, self-starter and results-driven personality with the ability to adapt to varying international sales cultures, styles and processes.
Bachelor’s degree required.
