FULL-TIME RECRUITMENT/ENROLLMENT COUNSELOR: Admission & Recruitment; Haverhill & Lawrence Campus, primarily in the Haverhill Campus Career Planning and Advising Center; 37.5 hours per week, including evenings and weekends to accommodate off campus recruitment activities, special events, activities and assignments at the Haverhill campus, and during peak enrollment periods; MCCC/MTA Unit Position

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Recruitment/Enrollment Counselor will work with the Admissions and Recruitment team; serve as a member of the whole One-Stop Student Services Team and report to the Director of Admissions & Recruitment. The position includes recruitment of adult and high school populations, dual enrollment, early college programs and related activities with a primary focus on the top feeder high schools. S/he will practice comprehensive developmental advising and enrollment services (with an emphasis on financial aid) to support prospective, new and returning students within the One Stop Student Services Centers. As a productive member of the Admissions and Recruitment Team, working to meet the enrollment goals of the department and the college as a whole, s/he:
Represents the college at high schools, college fairs, financial aid nights, community agencies and youth programs, alternative high schools, after school programs, businesses, on and off campus special events.
Plans and conducts open houses, tours and information sessions.
Maintains and updates existing relationships and cooperation agreements with high school guidance departments and initiates new agreements.
Conducts ongoing outreach and support to prospective, new and returning students in person, via email, mail, telephone and other current communication/media means.
Job Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree and two(2) years of experience/training involving college recruitment, admissions, enrollment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience with the ability to work effectively with demonstrated commitment to diversity and student success.
Excellence in oral and written communication skills and dynamic presentation skills.
Well organized, resilient, flexible and have the ability to work independently on a variety of projects and as a member of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Student Information Systems (preferably Banner Student Information System by Ellucian).
Experience working in a fast paced environment as an admissions representative, planning and implementing recruitment activities and events.
Preference given to those with prior experience working or studying in a
2-year/Community College setting.
Developmental advising experience.
Experience working with individuals from diverse and/or underrepresented populations.
Bilingual Strongly Preferred (English/Spanish).
$44,852 to $52,500 annually with complete fringe benefit package.
Actual salary calculated in compliance with MCCC/MTA classification system; Pay grade 3
