Are you searching for a meaningful Project Manager opportunity in either wind-swept Lubbock, Texas or sunny Greenville, South Carolina? We’ve got a spot for an amazing communicator who is looking to work with our teams that are distributed all over the United States, India, and Bolivia.
You’ll be managing and directing the work of some of the most respected technical resources in the retail software industry, including working directly with your counterparts at Toshiba, Amazon, and NCR. This will include responsibility for contractual deliverables, scope, cost, and schedule for our internal teams, executive staff, and outside vendors.
For now, you’ll report directly to our Chief Products Officer, but we use a matrix reporting system – your day-to-day will include developers, directors, product managers, 3rd party vendors, and executives. You’ll help ensure that project/department milestones (OKR’s) are met, and that we kept everyone in the boundaries of the project. This will include agile development, sprint planning, and helping product managers build roadmaps.
Collaborate with developers, QA, production support, and account support teams to provide timelines and direction on system analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
Respond to inquiries about projects.
Work with product owners and development managers to enhance roadmap visibility with sales, marketing, development, and operations.
Establish and maintain liaison as required with internal boards and committees.
Define project scope, schedule, budget, and monitor progress.
Delegate tasks with team leads to ensure forward movement on OKR’s.
Manage project documentation with our technical writing team
Work many simultaneous projects for stakeholders
Ensure that “small” projects are not dropped and that expectations are properly managed
Lead meetings and set expectations for the teams
Command the room of a lot of busy folks … part of this job will be nuanced “cat herding”
It would be great if you have some of these skills:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
Five or more years of PM / BA experience in IT or software development

PMP certification is a plus - if not, we’re going to ask you to get it

Fantastic graphical, written, and oral communication skills
Adaptable to many different communication styles
Able to organize and prioritize work, while managing the time of self and others
Ninja level conflict resolution
Able to work in a high stress environment
Understanding of JIRA and Aha, as well as Powerpoint, Visio, LucidChart
