Employees in this position provide project management including adherence to budget, schedule and scope, and responsible for assisting in the managing the day-to-day administrative function for a Managed Care Field Operations office. Plans, schedules, and/or coordinates project activities to meet deadlines and coordinates overall integration of a project. Persons in this position must exercise a high degree of initiative to perform varied administrative duties involving the use of independent judgment, analytical experience and professional skills. Work is performed under usual office conditions; deadlines, meetings and occasional travel. Additionally, work requires considerable contact and coordination with HSC administrative officials, administrative personnel of other departments and units, granting agencies, other institutions, and government organizations.

Under the direction of Regional Field Operations leadership, participates in the implementation of the mission, vision, and values of Managed Care including high quality and patient focused health care.
Engages in difficult or involved work requiring use of judgment and independent thinking in making decisions for which there is little precedent on matters of considerable importance.
Experience exercising a high degree of initiative in planning and defining scope of projects, including schedules, resource planning, time and budget estimation.
Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long term goals of a project and Regional Field Operation’s initiatives.
Responsible for ensuring program and corporate compliance with primary health care policies and procedures as required for assigned projects.
In coordination with Regional Field Operations leadership, presents, facilitates, and leads assigned process improvement events using methods of culture appropriate team building, team energizing, data gathering and analysis, problem solving, and project management.
Analyzes and reviews relevant data and stats for performance reports and prepares other reports, as assigned.
Ensures that regional field operations administrative support is accomplished, to include but not limited to the purchasing, travel, and other administrative functions.
Monitors resource data and works closely with relevant stakeholders (Regional Medical Director, Operations Director, Nursing Director, and dental and behavioral health, Managed Care leadership, HR, TDCJ, etc.) in performance maintenance and overall regional office operations.
Work is performed under general supervision with intellectual freedom, autonomy to nurture innovative ideas, bold explorations, and a pioneering spirit.

Minimum Hire Rate
Bachelor’s degree plus experience. Master’s degree preferred 5 years’ experience in project management. Experience with process improvement. Advanced time management and analytical skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills.
Ability to organize complex work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of the organizational policies and objectives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prepare and present professional presentations/lectures and written materials. Knowledge, skills, and ability to manage the operations of the unit.
