Data Center Consultant
The Consultant in the Data Center and Private Cloud practice is typically responsible for delivering Professional Services' consulting efforts within customer projects. The Consultant may act as the main contact between WWT and the customer for a small Advisory Services project.

A Consultant must be capable of supervising and leading a small project and team, producing contracted deliverables and be a recognized expert by virtue of career experience in technical/professional services in one or more WWT technology practice.

The Consultant typically participates in the delivery of Data Center related projects of all sizes and complexities and may be expected to lead a small project. Consultants are expected to produce project deliverables in projects with varying complexity, (project deliverables may include white papers, plans, strategies, designs, assessments and business case analysis.)

Primary Responsibilities:
Producing contracted deliverables for Advisory Services projects;
Main contact between WWT and customer from beginning to end of a small project ensuring the team meets the customer's needs;
Demonstrated ability to carry out consulting activities, methodologies leading to comprehensive discovery, analysis and technical/business recommendations;
Communication skills, including business/technical writing and presentations;
Ability to present in-depth technical solutions;
Self-motivation with the ability to motivate and energize a project team;
Drive to exceed customer and project goals;
Demonstrate ability to work successfully at customer levels from VP executives to end users;
Thoughtful leadership and innovative thinking;
Positive customer service attitude;
Develop relationships throughout the customer's organization to source new business;
Responsible for the delivery of project work, on-going quality of the work, ensure standards and delivery methodologies are being followed, appropriate resources are available to meet the current and future demands of the project;
Participate during the sales process through Project Scoping Workshops (PSWs), presentations, solutions, development of SOW's;
Proven track record of customer focus, including the ability to foster long-term client relationships;
General understanding of financial forecasting, reporting, and budgeting;
Working knowledge of project management principles and practices;
Willing to travel 50-75% of the time;
Proactively detects technical deficiencies and develops practical, workable solutions to problems;
Takes full responsibility for personal execution and delivery of critical tasks or projects;
Creates an environment where others feel it is safe to be open and candid, and where conflicting ideas and opinions are regularly discussed;

Management

Manage assignments, producing quality deliverables on time;
Lead small projects, manage project risk, up/cross selling, and oversight of team deliverables;
Contribute to the definition of industry best practice through subject matter expertise;
Support the organization as required, including project scoping, developing SOWs, responding to RFIs, and RFPs;
Deliver within the scope of the SOW while meeting or exceeding profit targets;
Provide appropriate direction and feedback to team members;
Participate with the team to identify, document, and drive to resolution for program issues.
Qualifications
A Consultant is required to have a bachelor's degree in an appropriate technical, business or management discipline. An advanced degree is preferred. Other requirements include:

Minimum

Minimum five years of industry experience in enterprise IT management, technology consulting, advisory or professional services;
Experience in Data Center modernization, consolidations, separations or migrations required;
Bachelor of Science from an accredited university or equivalent technical and/or business experience;
1-3 years' experience as a Consultant or equivalent experience;

Preferred:
Experience in private or public cloud infrastructures preferred.
Thorough understanding at least one major WWT technology practice area, key technology partners and market trends;
Post-graduate training in business-related discipline or management;
Personnel management experience;
Demonstrated leadership, team building, and management skills;
Advanced client-facing skills, including the ability to analyze complex problems, influence and negotiate with clients;
Demonstrated technical consulting experience in one or more of the following vertical sectors: government, public sector, higher education, finance, health care, technology, or other commercial.
