Job Duties:
The Corporate Tax Accountant is responsible for various aspects of income tax accounting and compliance. This includes assisting with the maintenance and enhancement of the Department’s tax technology in both tax accounting and compliance.

Prepare Federal income tax returns, State income/franchise tax returns and related schedules
Prepare workpapers to calculate book/tax adjustments for interim and annual income tax provision
Prepare Foreign Information Returns - Form 5471, and supporting workpapers
Prepare quarterly State estimated taxes, extensions and related payment requests
Assist with Federal, State income/franchise and sales or use tax examinations
Correspond with IRS and other Federal, State and Local tax authorities in response to notices
Research and document various tax positions through written technical memorandums
Support tax planning initiatives and special projects as needed, including §382 limitations, stock-based compensation, NOL utilization, acquisition related due diligence and purchase accounting
Maintain supporting tax workpapers/schedules in an organized manner
Utilize tax related software to prepare and process the tax provision, tax returns and research tax matters
Keep abreast of relevant Federal and State and Local tax regulations
Assistance with ad hoc requests

Posting Job Requirements

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
3-6+ years of experience working in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department
CPA license and/or Master’s degree in Taxation is a plus
Work both independently and as part of a team of tax professionals
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management, organization abilities, attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills are required
Working knowledge of One Source Tax Provision software strongly preferred
Working knowledge of One Source Tax Compliance Software or an equivalent software
Working knowledge of Tax research tools
Must be PC literate within a Windows environment and have working knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
Working knowledge of Oracle a plus
Ability to function effectively in a in a deadline oriented environment
Ability to collaborate cross function within the company, i.e. treasury, accounting, finance, financial planning, and analysis
