Full Job Description
Raytheon Technologies Intelligence & Space is seeking an entry level Technical Support Engineer for Field Engineering (FE) to support the Trident Integrated Support facility (ISF) program, based out of Pittsfield, MA. This engineer shall work within the Test Engineering team and support the day-to-day engineering activities and senior engineers within the Test Engineering functions of a missile guidance test facility. Primary role includes activities related to requirement analysis and compliance, process review, and data package review. Additional duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
Technical writing – test and maintenance procedures, failure analysis, training materials, engineering change requests, customer presentations, waivers and deviations. Candidate shall be able to correct and update such documents.
Training – must be able to absorb new technical material quickly. Candidate shall have a willingness to learn program/organizational processes and procedures and be willing to engage with a larger staff to resolve issues and make enhancements.
Candidates must be professional, a motivated self-starter and possess a positive attitude.
Technical support for test personnel operating in a production environment.
Verification of hardware acceptance test results as well as compliance to customer drawings, specifications, and procedures.
Provide support in the Testing, Evaluation, Troubleshooting, and Disposition of flight hardware with a focus on electrical performance and fault analysis
Basic Fundamental engineering course work or experience in an engineering discipline.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and related applications.
Experience with software related to production tracking and documentation.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience writing and reviewing Technical Engineering process documentation.
Experience in requirements analysis, process development, traceability and verification.
Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
Familiarity with engineering processes that relate to manufacturing, design, and support.
Knowledge of LabVIEW and MATLAB software.
Hands-on maintenance and test experience.
Ability to manage projects; schedules, budgets, and priorities.
Experience in calibration of test and measurement equipment.
Current security clearance
Required Education (including Major):
B.S./B.A. in a related technical field. Industry and/or military experience may be substituted for a degree.
Other Requirements (Clearance, travel):
SECRET - existing clearance preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
