Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc. is a leading designer, marketer, and distributor of small household and commercial appliances. We are seeking qualified candidates for a Digital Marketing Specialist opportunity at our Corporate Headquarters in Glen Allen, Virginia. The Digital Marketing Specialist will work in collaboration with the Manager of Online Marketing to develop and manage cohesive and integrated content, marketing and website strategies in support of key business objectives.
Responsibilities of the position include:
Develop and implement marketing, merchandising, and promotional strategies across multiple channels, including email, SEO, and brand websites
Own consumer-facing website content development and maintenance of our brand manufacturer websites
Develop and execute targeted emails, own list growth strategies, maintenance, segmentation, and analysis
Partner with manager on development of merchandising strategies and techniques to drive content utilization and educate consumers
Implement and maintain SEO best practices, including content development, to support channel growth
Proactively manage campaigns and projects from inception to completion
Contribute to an excellent consumer experience by ensuring proper testing and implementation of marketing assets, web content, links, and navigation paths
Prepare and share reports, monitor and track trends, and incorporate data into larger integrated marketing and ecommerce recaps
Leverage marketing technology to maintain current marketing programs and identify opportunities to leverage technology to optimize workflow
Requirements of the position include:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field.
3+ years digital marketing experience with proven experience developing, implementing and measuring multi-channel digital marketing campaigns
Hands-on experience building email campaigns and online marketing programs
Strong writing and communication skills with ability to write effective copy
Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking. Thorough understanding of marketing and website performance metrics and benchmarks, helping drive and optimize key traffic and engagement metrics including deliverability, open rates, CTR, engagement and retention.
Highly detail oriented with organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and shift priorities according to business needs
The following are not required, but are considered a plus:
Experience with website analytics using a variety of tools including Google Analytics and/or BrightEdge
Marketing Automation Experience (Pardot, Marketo, Hubspot, Etc.)
Experience managing PPC and Display Advertising Campaigns
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and website functionality
Experience with a CMS (ex. MODX)
Experience with A/B and multivariate testing
Google Adwords or Google Analytics Certification
Experience in ecommerce
The successful candidate will have proven ability to support multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment with simultaneous priorities. He or she must be a dedicated, creative, results driven self-starter with a strong work ethic and must have demonstrated the ability to work independently and use good judgment. The ability to respond to critical site needs and emergency situations on a 24/7/365 basis is required. Local candidates preferred as paid relocation is not available.
