Job Summary:
Supervises the daily work activities of Environmental Services personnel to ensure clean, orderly and attractive conditions exist in the hospital. Responsible for daily planning of staffing requirements, employee efficiency, job performance, disciplinary actions and documentation of activities. Assists in the coordination of services of the Environmental Services Department with those of other departments. Appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.

- Demonstrate the ability to supervise daily activities and environmental service personnel ensuring clean and attractive conditions exist in the hospital.
- Demonstrate the ability to plan for daily staffing of all assign areas.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to communicate and interact with patient, families and visitors of all age groups.
- Demonstrate the ability to coach all employees of work assignments.
- Demonstrate good communication, cooperativeness and ability to accept disruptive work flow.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Work Experience:
At least three years previous work experience required, supervisory experience in housekeeping and/or healthcare field preferred.
Mental Demands:
Must possess above average verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to plan, organize, and delegate effectively, use good judgment and make decisions under pressure due to stress involved in job duties, practice good public relations, demonstrate initiative, cooperativeness, and accept disruptive work flow.
