Where You’ll Work:
Our corporate office is in Grandview, OH just minutes from downtown Columbus and close to many vibrant restaurants and entertainment venues. You’ll work alongside several other corporate team members including the operations, marketing, IT, accounting and human resources team.
What You’ll Do:
As an Asset Manager, you’ll oversee all asset management and financial planning responsibilities for a growing portfolio of approximately 15 diverse multifamily assets. These responsibilities include oversight and execution of the investment’s operational business plan and financial strategy, communication with internal and key external stakeholders, portfolio analysis and decision making, guiding operational budgets and capital improvements, and participating in the acquisition and disposition of portfolio assets.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual client reporting summarizing property and portfolio level performance.
Analyze financial statements provided by property management on a monthly basis.
Oversee insurance, real estate tax, and debt service obligations on behalf of each asset.
Prepare other analyses related to maximizing revenues and minimizing expenses that lead to strategies to drive asset performance and investor returns.
Conduct regular, scheduled calls to review performance with each property management team.
Conduct monthly meetings with respective investor relationship teams to review updates and highlights.
Review monthly investment cash flows for performance monitoring and complete quarterly distribution analysis for actual investor distributions.
Develop successful strategies and decisions relative to revenue, expenses, occupancy, and operational efficiencies.
Collect market data and conduct benchmarking analysis.
Negotiate contracts and monitor key approvals.
Participate in ROI analysis on all capital improvement or value add initiatives.
Conduct two annual regular on-site property reviews and inspections with the onsite management staff.
Collaborate with accounting to establish opening balance sheets upon asset acquisition.
Control the creation and analysis of annual operating budgets in conjunction with property management team.
Maintain a database of all factors affecting markets and submarkets associated with the portfolio, including demographics and changes in supply and demand.
Identify issues, risks and opportunities for assets.

Bachelor’s degree in real estate, management, economics, finance or accounting.
5+ years of real estate, asset management, property management and/or investment experience in the multifamily space.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
